Ohannes Geukjian is Associate Professor of comparative politics and conflict resolution in the Department of Political Studies and Public Administration (PSPA) at the American University of Beirut (AUB). He was awarded the PhD in Peace Studies from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom. Geukjian has published four books and numerous articles in refereed journals, like Middle Eastern Studies and Nationalities Papers. His recent book, The Russian Military Intervention in Syria was published by McGill Queen's University in 2022. Currently, he is working on a book length manuscript on the failure of the Lebanese state.
