Ambassador (Ret.) Daniel C. Kurtzer, S. Daniel Abraham Professor of Middle East Policy Studies and Professor Amaney Jamal, Edwards S. Sanford Professor of Politics are pleased to announce the continuation of the Conversations About Peace discussion series in Fall of 2017. Speakers this fall will include Ambassador Dani Dayan, Consul General of Israel in New York.

According to Dr. Dayan’s Wikipedia entry, he is an Israeli political leader, entrepreneur and advocate for the Israeli settlements in the West Bank, or Judea and Samaria. He served as the Chairman of the Yesha Council from 2007 to 2013. In 2013, he resigned as Chairman of the Yesha Council to endorse Benjamin Netanyahu for Prime Minister.  Dayan was subsequently appointed as Chief Foreign Envoy  of the Yesha Council, as the only official representative of the Israeli settlement movement to the international community. Dayan assumed his role as Consul General of Israel in New York in August of 2016.
